Why is it so offensive to people that Jesus is indeed the savior of all mankind? Especially since this isn't the only blible passage that confirms Gods redemptive power has not fallen short in his love and pusuit of us all. His anger abides for a short time but his mercy and love endure forever.
This notion of Jesus's anger lasting an eternity throws in the face all His kindness and Love and contridicts His very character.

@HoParoikos 1 peter 2:8b is refferring how God blinded some Isrealite that the Gentiles may obtain His mercy as well this verse is parrarel in context of romans 9-11; Isa 8:14. Therefore, Jesus is the Savior to those that BELIEVE in Him but His Work on the cross was open to mankind to recieve IF they believed. Not all are saved but those that believe and produce His fruits, blessings friend

@PRAYERWARRIORKING It's nowhere in the context of 1 peter 2:8. While the quoted verse does share parallel, the context of 1 peter 2 is talking about gentiles; Peter himself does not mention the Jews, but only "those who believe...and do not believe." Notice how peter quotes the passage differently than Paul. He's drawing on the passage's principle, not the passage's context. Your "therefore" is a non sequitur.

@HoParoikos brother 1 Peter is speaking to new jewish believers who are struggling persecution according to many scholars. Do you understand the context of 1 Peter epistle. Just do a bit of studying on who he was writing to friend. before we carry on, bless you
